Temperature-controlled
warehouse capacity
Nichirei Logistics Group has a total temperature-controlled warehouse capacity of 4.9 million cubic meters. That is equivalent to about 9.8 million 500-liter capacity refrigerators. From agricultural products, fish and meat to ice cream and frozen foods, a wide range of goods are stored under controlled temperatures.
Delivery trucks
In Japan and overseas, Nichirei Logistics Group operates about 8,000 delivery trucks on the roads daily. Were all these 10-ton truck stacked one on top of the other, they would reach a height of about 30,000 meters—very high indeed, given that Mt. Everest is 8,848 meters high. This vast number of trucks enables us to provide comprehensive transportation services nationwide.
Overseas business
Nichirei Logistics Group provides temperature-controlled logistics services in 56 countries. In Europe—a key region for us—services extend across the continent.
Clients
About 5,000 companies annually use Nichirei Logistics Group’s temperature-controlled logistics services. We respond to requests from clients ranging from food producers and processing plants to retail stores and restaurants.
Logistics bases
Nichirei Logistics Group operates 128 logistics bases in Japan and abroad, from which it ensures the dependable transportation of food to clients.

Nichirei Logistics Group employs about 5,600 people worldwide. We use the expertise, fresh ideas, and ingenuity of each of these employees to stay at the forefront of the temperature-controlled logistics industry and ensure a dependable supply of food in Japan and abroad.
Sales
Nichirei Logistics is a member of the Nichirei Group, a leading company in Japan’s frozen food industry. However, 92% of Nichirei Logistics’ sales are to clients outside the Group.
Background
Nichirei’s roots go back to 1942 when, as the Teikoku Marine Products Control Company, it made ice. Now in its 75th year, as the Nichirei Group continues to grow, it looks forward to expanding its business to reflect changing times.
